Terms and Conditions

  1. This website is open to residents of the UK who have cycled in the Devon region in 2010 or 2011. Only people who meet these criteria will be eligible for the prizes and incentives provided by the Cycle Devon Programme.
  2. Registration is free via the Cycle Devon Programme website.
  3. All participants take part in the Cycle Devon Programme at their own risk. All participants must ensure that the bicycles they ride are in a roadworthy condition and must observe the rules of the Highway Code. NB: Neither Devon County Council, Cycling England, Challenge for Change, or any sponsors or promoters of the Cycle Devon Programme accept responsibility for any injury sustained or property damaged in the course of anyone's participation in the programme.
  4. A valid cycle trip is defined as a participant cycling for a minimum of 10 minutes on a pedal bicycle.
  5. Cycle trips do not include use of motorcycles, scooters or stationary cycles.
  6. Challenge for Change's decision is final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into.
  7. Devon County Council shall not be held responsible for any late, incomplete, corrupted or incorrect registrations as a result of any software or hardware failure, or otherwise.
  8. The spot prize winners will be notified directly via email by Challenge for Change within one month of the end of the programme.
  9. Winners details will be made available for a period of five weeks from the end of the programme.
  10. No cash or other prize alternatives are available.
  11. No purchase necessary.
  12. The prize winners may be required to participate in publicity and promotional activities.
  13. Devon County Council reserves the right to substitute the prize for any prize of an equal or greater value in the event of circumstances beyond its control.
  14. People under the age of 16 can take part in the Cycle Devon Programme with the permission of a parent or guardian. This must be declared at the time of registration. Under 16s must get the permission of a parent or guardian before uploading any information to the Cycle Devon Programme website.
  15. Parents/guardians remain responsible for the safety of under 16s participating in the Programme at all times, including while cycling and using the Programme website.
  16. The spot prize winners will be drawn at random from all registrations received prior to the closing date. Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the draw taking place.
  17. Spot prize winners will be notified directly and the names will be published on the Programme website: cycledevontoday.org.uk.
  18. Winner details will be made available for a period of four weeks following the draw.
  19. To claim the prize, proof of age and identity may be required.
  20. Devon County Council and Challenge for Change reserve the right to substitute the prize for any prize of an equal or greater value in the event of circumstances beyond its control.
  21. By registering on this website you will automatically be entered into this prize draw.
  22. By registering on this website you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The personal data used will include name, email address and other supplied information.
